Asher Roth - The Greenhouse Effect Mixtape
You can't deny that this goofy, & at times nerdy kid from Morrisville, PA is a nice wordsmith. I do admit my first impression was, I hope this doesn't turn into to another Eminem. Meaning, he has skill, but what's it worth if you don't have ill beats to complete the whole package. The Mixtape has a nice selection of producers like "Inglish" (of the Cool Kids), Andre 3000, Will.i.am, Kanye West, Hi Tek & Pharrell. So you can only hope that his upcoming EP won't let you down. I'm looking forward to seeing what else this kid has up his sleeves.

One Day As a Lion is a collaborative project between R.A.T.M's front man Zach de la Rocha & Jon Theodore (former drummer of The Mars Volta). Check out "Wild International" off their debut self-titled EP which hits outlets worldwide on July 22nd.

“The name taken from the infamous 1970 black and white, captured by legendary Chicano photographer George Rodriguez featuring a center framed tag on a white wall in an unspecified section of Boyle Heights. It reads: ‘It’s better to live one day as a lion, than a thousand years as a lamb.’ This record is a stripped down attempt to realize this sentiment in sound.”
